Kooks Smokehouse and Bar is an American style BBQ restaurant and sports bar. In addition to showing sports from around world we offer smoked meats, traditional bar items like burgers and wings, an assortment of vegetarian and vegan options, and American twist on Costa Rican classics like chifrijo and ceviche, signature cocktails, local craft beers, and more.
Our Brisket is imported from the United States, all rated USDA Choice or USDA Prime. Our Briskets are trimmed in house and smoked for 11 to 14 hours at 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Our pulled pork is imported form the United States ensuring the highest quality. Our pork butts are smoked for 12 to 16 hours and mixed with a Carolina style bbq sauce. Our pork bellies are imported from Chili, brined for 24 hours in our house brine, smoked for 10 to 12 hours and finished on the plancha. Our ribs are imported from the United States, smoked for 4 to 6 hours, and finished on the grill for a perfect char. Our chicken is locally raised, brined for 24 hours, smoked for 2 hours, and fried for service.
All of our menu items are made from scratch in our kitchen or baked locally. Our bread is baked across the street from The Bakery. All of our sauces are made in house, our pickles are brined in house, and all of vegetables are purchased from local providers ensuring the freshest and best quality.
